Looks like I was wrong, the excess lightheartedness from the last couple weeks did not cumulate into some sort of mental pile of sparkly contentment, ready to be used later as I had hoped. Instead I’ve been feeling (and acting) pretty irate about schoolwork and the feeling of being in a perpetual group meeting. And yeah, I know, only two more weeks. And yes, almost there. Realized last night though, for some odd reason, I care more than usual about my grades this quarter. And the realization is a bit perplexing. Weird.
That aside, Jules made me take a break last night and we decked out the living room Christmas-style. We have a tree! The Disney channel was on TV and suddenly a familiar cartoon sequence came on…. from Disney’s Aladdin: “A Whole New World”. We both just stopped what we were doing, looked up, and watched in silence.
It’s probably the ten year old in me, but holy crap. What a love song!

I hear ya on the meetings, but not on the grades! LOL .. I kinda not caring about my own.. I guess the only thing that really motivates me to care is I don’t want the groups to suffer!! 🙂
Aww, I was listening to Disney music like 10 minutes ago.. yes, A Whole New World is just such a lovely song.
Oooh, Aladdin. I haven’t seen that movie in forever. Yeah, I hear you about school. This whole quarter has been pretty tough, and not just school wise. Keep ya head up, the quarter’s almost over! 🙂

Being the childish boy that I am, I recall vividly the 5th grade discussions involving a whole new world. I remember one boy, i forgot his name, who would sing the song to girls and replace “eyes” with “thighs”…. it was quite flagrant….
“I can open your ______, take you wonder by wonderrrrr”, and you can fill in the rest….
I’ve got a pretty brutal remainder of the quarter as well…let’s get through it together and all go out for drinks to celebrate a victory! Hooray! 😀

Hmm… for some reason, I care less as well about my grades. As long as I list, I’ll be happy, I guess. I’m not even doing any homework when I get home between 6-8:15 in the evening. Yeah, as long as my groups don’t suffer, I’m content with just doing enough to get by, this quarter.
