Almost a whole week without a post. How odd. Things seem to have momentarily slowed down. Wait no, I have. Ever since my econ midterm I realized I was burning myself out and cut down my commitment time to that course. The result? I’m a lot more calm and am not frantically attempting to shove down the lot of assigned pages of reading each week and hours of practice problems. Granted lecture is a lot more difficult (haha), but tradeoffs, tradeoffs, hehe. Plus it feels good to focus on things I care more about, like Capstone.
I’m looking forward to next Monday, it’s the day the Transfer eNewsletter’s winter edition goes live! Which means I hopefully won’t have to worry about it for the rest of the quarter and have one more thing off of my plate. That’s something to look forward to.
Last weekend I had dinner with my Dad and watched MTV with my cousin Mia as she explained to me each show’s merits, haha. Le sigh, my cous. Back in Seattle I went to Northgate with Ryan, had coffee with Kevin and studied/worked in a cafe in Wallingford with Jules and Pril.
The week, as mentioned above, has been relatively low-key. Have been doing this “Busy Person’s Retreat” thing at my church for the last three days and its been pretty cool. Have been wanting to go on a sort of retreat for the last year or so but haven’t committed the time to do so. So the notion of a “Busy Person’s Retreat” seemed novel enough to try. Four days long and each day comes with readings, twenty minute prayer time, and thirty minutes at church for a meeting. Pretty laid back and it’s been an insightful experience. Other weekly highlights include getting locked out of my condo Monday and hanging out with Trevor all day and Ryan surprising me with cookie dough ice cream last night! Anyway though, all this lala’ing has led to me neglecting my tadalist, it looks to be busy til Monday.

That was EXACTLY like in the first superman movie when lois lane got stuck in her car after the earthquake and superman found her….and clark screamed just like superman did in the movie and he even did the bottom lip quivering thing JUST like in the movie!!! ^_^

ok, enough… til next week!
Yeah, I can relate to the entire “devoting less time to schoolwork thing” – ever since I came to the realization that the Honors thing wasn’t gonna happen (and does not really matter outside of school anyway), I’ve been a lot more at ease with my scholastic performance, and I feel comfortable not devoting time outside of school towards assignments and what-have-you. Basically, once I step off of the ferry, my school day is done!!
Hey beautiful! :0)
I like to keep things clean, simple and neat; that’s why there’s always only one entry. And you… haha joining this blog thing.
So… when can we get together!? We need to hang out. Gimme good dates for you!
