But he doesn’t even look like Harry

I’ve been reading more and more about the upcoming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie coming out this November. And while this is my favorite book of the series (arguably one of my most favorite books ever), I can’t help but be bothered by it. It could perhaps be because I hold the book in such high esteem I know that no amount of cinematic magic can do the fiction justice. But mostly it’s the fact that Daniel Radcliff never really looked much like Harry to me, especially now that he’s older.

Perhaps it had something to do with living in a dark cupboard, but Harry had always been small and skinny for his age…Harry had a thin face, knobbly knees, black hair and bright green eyes…

Mm, yeah. Square face, brown hair, and blue eyes. Yep. And there you have it. I felt inclined in educating non-readers about this atrocity. Eh well, here’s to watching Goblet in November.
